We are a horse refuge and this horse 'Maximus' is a retired mounted patrol horse who served with the Laramie County Sheriff's Office and enjoys watching the morning sunrise each day.

Sunrise from a high ridge in the Salt River Range, looking east over the Wyoming Range. Smoke and haze were abundant. I was looking for a big mule deer. Saw bucks but no giant located.

Sunrise at the Sheridan Flour Mill. The Mill began as a 1920s industrial flour mill grain tanks. It’s listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Today it’s the Mill Inn hotel next to the grain tanks.
