A Wyoming-based nonprofit is working to meet a growing demand for Bibles in public schools across Honduras, where students and teachers are increasingly embracing Bible reading and Christian education.

Vision Beyond Borders, headquartered in Casper, has partnered with a ministry serving more than 150 public schools across Honduras. According to the organization, pastors and missionaries are welcomed into schools to share the Gospel, pray with students, and distribute Bibles.

During recent visits, Vision Beyond Borders staff witnessed firsthand the impact Scripture is having on students. School leaders shared stories of children eagerly reading the Bible, memorizing verses, and participating in Bible studies.

One school principal described a student who regularly gathered classmates to share what he had learned from Scripture. Despite facing difficult circumstances at home, the student found hope through reading the Bible and expressed a desire to continue growing in his faith.

Interest in Bible reading has continued to grow since Honduras implemented a nationwide initiative encouraging students to read for 15 minutes each day. As participation has increased, government and school officials have requested approximately 2 million Spanish-language Bibles for distribution in public schools nationwide.

Vision Beyond Borders hopes to help meet that need by providing Bibles to students at no cost. The organization estimates each Bible costs about $3.48 to print and deliver.

"We believe God's Word has the power to change lives," said Patrick Klein, president of Vision Beyond Borders. "This is an opportunity to place Scripture in the hands of young people and impact future generations."

The Casper-based ministry has distributed millions of Bibles worldwide and continues to partner with churches, schools, and local ministries to bring Christian resources to communities where they are needed most.

This latest effort represents one of the largest opportunities the organization has seen to place Bibles directly into students' hands through the public school system.

Partner with Vision Beyond Borders today — and help take the Word of God to the nations.
