One of the region’s largest firearms and Western Americana sales of the year is set to begin this week as Lock Stock & Barrel Auctions prepares to host its three-day live auction, May 1-3, at the Cody Auditorium.

After months of sourcing consignments, cataloging inventory, and assembling the sale, the auction house will bring more than 1,200 lots to the block. The offering spans historic and collectible firearms, fine art, and Western memorabilia, with an emphasis on quality, rarity, and fresh-to-market material.

A public preview will be held Thursday April 30 from noon to 7 PM at the Cody Auditorium, giving prospective bidders an opportunity to inspect items in person ahead of the sale.

The highlights include an edged weapons set containing both Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring's Captured Luftwaffe Officer Sword and General Hoyt S. Vandenburg's M-1902 Officer Presentation Saber, a signed and numbered First Edition Theodore Roosevelt "African Game Trails" Book Set, and a signed and personalized original photograph of William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody. Collectors will also find an array of rare Winchester lever action rifles, factory-engraved Colt pistols, and fine US and German martial arms from both world wars.

Western material is equally well represented, with offerings that include Crockett and Kelly Bros. spurs, leather cowboy cuffs, H.H. Heiser gun rigs, and a Vintage 3X Beaver Cowboy Hat marked to Batjac Productions, John Wayne's production company, and attributed to Wayne or one of his stunt doubles from 1972's "The Cowboys" or 1973's "The Train Robbers".

Sportsman's advertising adds further depth to the catalog, highlighted by a Vintage 1920s Western Cartridge Company 58" x 29" Painted Cloth Advertising Banner. Additional Winchester collectibles include early Winchester tools, from shovels to screwdrivers, a Winchester waffle iron from the 1920s, and a multitude of Winchester fishing gear.

Bidding will begin at 12 PM on Friday May 1, and continue at 9 AM on Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3. In addition to in-person bidding, buyers may participate live online through Live.LSBauctions.com, place absentee bids, or sign up to bid by telephone by calling 307-527-8915 before Thursday. Lock Stock & Barrel reports that registration is currently underway across all bidding channels.

The full catalog is available online at LSBauctions.com, where bidders can review all lots and plan their participation in advance.

With a broad selection spanning firearms, artwork, militaria, Western Americana, and sportsman's advertising, the sale is expected to draw interest from collectors and dealers nationwide as Cody once again hosts a major live auction event.
