The Democrats in Laramie put on a pretty good show, Saturday. If the Republicans, Libertarians and Constitutionalists all got together, they could never get that many people out.
That's mainly because they are out working and planning their futures so they are not dependent on a democrat controlled government running their lives.
When I drove by, I did not see any signs that said: "Lower Taxes," “Smaller Government," “Less Regulation Means More Freedom," "Private Property Rights," "Ban The IRS" or "Less Codes = Affordable Housing."
I guess they are not really about freedom, just more government coercion, higher taxes and more regulations — and that they want to be in charge of and control your life.
While the Democrats were out demonstrating, the rest of us in the real world were fixing cars, raising cattle, changing tires, waiting on tables, bartending, drilling for oil, driving trucks, keeping the lights on and the water running so the demonstrators could have a latte and go to lunch after their show.
I remember about six years ago when gas was 99 cents a gallon at the Tumbleweed station here.
Can you Democrats match that?
If you think the Democrats are for freedom, just read the laws that are coming out of the Democrat-controlled Legislature in Colorado. More gun control and more authority for the state to kidnap your children. Not much freedom there.
Was talking to a landlord in Yuma, Colorad,o and he said he can't buy a gas stove in Colorado anymore. That's choice in a Democrat world.
You'll be thankful you live in Wyoming.
