Dear editor,
This is in response to the headline "Australia sells $29B to the United States, won't allow one hamburger in from the U.S."
Has anybody inquired as to why United States agriculture products are banned from so many countries?
Europe purchases most of their beef from Argentina. I know why that is, but has anybody in the Montana Ag Department thought about reaching out to Australia to possibly determine if we can raise beef to their standards?
And if our ranchers can attain the quality which Australia demands, it could possibly open the European market for our beef. Just thinking outside the box, because Europe and Australia will never allow United States ag products in their countries due to the current methods in use to raise our crops.
Sincerely,
Bert Blood
