An $8.5 million Wyoming ranch just down the road from the ultra-luxury Brush Creek Ranch near Saratoga comes with a self-playing grand piano, a custom pool table, and practically enough wildlife photography to start your own art gallery.
You’ll get to keep the zebra-hide furniture, the giraffe rug, and the intricately carved harp with gilded column as well, listing agent Jared Souza told Cowboy State Daily. He estimates the piano is worth about $80,000.
But fair warning, the harp does not play itself. And you’ll be on your own for lessons.
“Everything you see in every single picture is included in this listing,” he said of the property, called The Gates at Stonegate. “When we were negotiating the listing contract, the owner was like, ‘I’m going to make it real easy for you. Your exhibit for inclusions of personal property is going to say everything.’”

That’s not common, Souza added.
“There’s almost always quite a bit of artwork or family heirlooms that we have to exclude from the listing,” he said. “But everything he bought was specific for this home, and he wants it to stay with the home. You won’t have to do anything, unless you want to change some of the artwork or something.”

Much of the artwork, by the way, is by prominent Jackson wildlife photographer Thomas Mangelsen. The pool table was made by Aspen Rustic — the same company that has made custom tables at Brush Creek Ranch.
Rare Public Listing
Marketed as The Gates at Stonegate, the approximately 35-acre property sits between the Snowy and Sierra Madre ranges. It’s a relatively small holding in a neighborhood of notable Wyoming ranches. Brush Creek Ranch is nearby, as are A Bar A Ranch and Silver Spur Ranch.
Ranches in this neighborhood tend not to make it to a public listing, Souza added, which makes this one a rare opportunity.
“You’ve got a lot of competition in the marketplace for ranch lands, especially along that North Platte River and Encampment River corridor,” he said. “Brush Creek has been a primary buyer for a long time. And it was Silver Spur before that. So there’s not a lot of ranch land that really comes up, especially that’s adjacent to or abuts any of those particular ranches.”
Wyoming Timbers Add To Design
The main residence offers five bedrooms and three baths plus a powder room in a 10,900-square-foot home that was completely remodeled top-to-bottom.

The biggest gathering space is the grand hall, where soaring ceilings, massive timber supports, and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace frame an entertainment area that includes a custom wet bar. Upper-level walkways overlook the room.
“It’s just insane,” Souza said. “It’s just so big and you’ve got the cathedral ceilings.”
But what really drew Souza’s eye was two rough-cut timbers so huge he initially thought they must come from California. He later learned they were actually sourced from the Snowy Range.
“It must have been back in the ‘80s,” Souza said. “The two trees are like 500-some years old and they’re huge. I’ve honestly never seen a tree that big in the Snowy Range in all of my travels.”
A placard sits by the trees, telling their story.
“They’re 50, 60-foot-tall and probably six-foot in diameter,” Souza said. “That kind of sets the stage and just gives you an idea how grand that entertainment hall is.”
Built-In Sauna
The high-end touches extend throughout the house, from custom fur blankets to luxury appliances such as Wolf and Sub-Zero.

“The master bedroom and master bath, I mean it’s crazy,” he said. “You have an incredible master bath with kind of a wet tub and shower and then a sauna built in and a TV built into the mirror. So you can lay in the tub or sauna and watch TV out of the mirror at the same time. The creature comforts here are just phenomenal and the layout is nice.”
One of the more unusual features is a secure display room for guns designed to look like an old jail. A bar sits opposite the display area, while two vintage-style barber chairs add a pop of color to the scene.
Elsewhere, the home includes a gym, an office-library, and a separate apartment, with its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom. It could be either a caretaker quarters or private space for guests.
Just Bring The Groceries
Outside, the property includes 24 acres of irrigated hay meadow the listing describes as supporting wildlife. But it could also sustain a horse or two, Souza said.
The property directly adjoins Bureau of Land Management acreage, giving it access to thousands of acres of horseback riding and hiking on public ground. The Sierra Madre Range lies to the west and the Snowy Range is to the east.
Saratoga’s airport is just minutes away, Souza added.
For the next owner, moving in could be mostly a matter of stocking the kitchen.
“You run down to the grocery store and you get some provisions,” Souza said.
The piano can handle the music. The harp might take some practice.
