Winter weather conditions with snow, wind and cold in much of the state Thursday.  Highs from the teens and 20s in areas of northern Wyoming to the 50s in the southeast. Lows range from the single digits to the low 20s.  

Central:  

Casper:  Snow is likely today mainly after 1 p.m. today and possible tonight mainly before 8 p.m.  Otherwise, expect it to be mostly cloudy today with a high near 34 and cloudy, becoming partly cloudy overnight with a low around 11.  Winds could gust as high as 20 mph during the day. 

Riverton:  One to three inches of snow is likely today mainly before 4 p.m.  Look for a high near 29 today and it should be mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 12.  Winds could gust as high as 20 mph during the day and overnight.

Jeffrey City Snow is likely today, otherwise it should be breezy with a high near 39 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 17.  Winds could gust as high as 23 mph during the day.

Southwest:  

Evanston One to three inches of snow is near certain today.  Look for a high near 34 today and it should be mostly clear overnight with a low near 13.  Wind could blow from 14-18 mph during the day.  

Rock Springs:   Rain and snow, then snow gradually ending after 1 p.m. is likely today.  It should be windy with a high near 42 today and mostly clear and breezy overnight with a low near 18.  Winds could gust to 44 mph during the day and 31 mph overnight.   

South Pass There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until 6 p.m. tonight.  One to three inches of snow is near certain today.  Watch for patchy blowing snow and windy conditions today with a high near 35 and it should be partly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 18.  Winds could gust to 41 mph during the day and 28 mph overnight.   

Western Wyoming:  

Pinedale:  Rain and one to two inches of snow is likely today. Expect it to be breezy today with patchy blowing snow between 8 a.m. and noon and a high near 33 and it should be partly cloudy overnight with a low near 15.  Winds could gust to 33 mph during the day and 21 mph overnight.   

Alpine:  Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 8 a.m. is likely today. The high should be near 35 and it should be mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 18.  Winds could gust to 21 mph during the day.   

Big Piney:  Rain and snow are likely today.  It should be windy and cloudy then gradually become mostly sunny today with a high near 37 and be partly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 12.  Winds could gust as high as 38 mph during the day and 30 mph overnight. 

Northwest:  

Dubois:  Two to four inches of snow mainly before 2 p.m. is likely today.  Look for patchy blowing snow after 2 p.m.  Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy and breezy today with a high near 30 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 11.  Winds could gust as high as 26 mph during the day.  

Jackson:  Rain and snow before 7 a.m. then snow is likely today and there’s a slight chance of snow between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. tonight.  Otherwise expect it to be breezy today with a high near 33 and mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 17.  Winds could gust to 23 mph during the day. New snow accumulation 1-2 inches.

Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park:  There’s a winter storm warning in effect until 6 p.m. tonight.  Snow is near certain mainly before 4 p.m. today and possible mainly after midnight tonight. It should be breezy today with a high near 28 and mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 6.  Winds could gust as high as 23 mph during the day.  New snow accumulation 2-4 inches.

Bighorn Basin:  

Thermopolis There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until 9 p.m. tonight.  Snow is likely today mainly before 5 p.m. and possible mainly before 8 p.m. tonight.  Otherwise, the high today should be near 23 and it should be mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 8.  Winds could gust as high as 20 mph during the day. Two to four inches of new snow is possible.  

Cody:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until 9 p.m. tonight.  Snow is likely today mainly between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. and possible mainly before 7 p.m. tonight.  Otherwise, it should be cloudy and blustery today with a high near 17 and mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 7.  Winds could gust as high as 24 mph during the day and 20 mph overnight. One to two inches of new snow is possible.  

Powell:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until 9 p.m. tonight.  Snow is likely today mainly before 4 p.m. with patchy blowing snow until then.  Otherwise, it should be cloudy and windy today with a high near 18 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 7.  Winds could gust as high as 40 mph during the day and 21 mph overnight. One to two inches of new snow is possible.  

North Central:  

Buffalo:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until midnight tonight.  Snow and patchy blowing snow is likely today and before 9 p.m. tonight.  Otherwise, it should be blustery today with a high near 21 and mostly cloudy and blustery overnight with a low near 5.  Winds could gust as high as 28 mph during the day and overnight. Two to four inches of new snow is possible.  

Sheridan:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until midnight tonight.  Snow is near certain today and there is a slight chance before midnight tonight.  The high today should be near 25 and it should be mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 3.  New snow should total around 4 inches.

Clearmont:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until midnight tonight.  Snow is likely today and there is a slight chance before midnight tonight.  The high today should be near 25 and it should be cloudy, gradually becoming partly cloudy overnight with a low near 5.  New snow should total around 4 inches.

Northeast:  

Gillette:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until 3 a.m. Friday morning.  Snow is likely today mainly after 1 p.m. and before 7 p.m. tonight.  Otherwise, the high today should be near 21 and the low overnight near 4.  Winds could gust as high as 23 mph during the day and 25 mph overnight.  New snow could total 1-4 inches.       

Sundance:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until 3 a.m. Friday morning.  Snow is almost certain today mainly after 9 a.m. and it’s possible tonight before midnight.  Otherwise, the high today should be near 22 and it should be mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 6.  Winds could gust as high as 17 mph during the day and 18 mph overnight.  New snow could total 1-3 inches.       

Moorcroft:  There’s a winter weather advisory in effect until 3 a.m. Friday morning.  Snow is near certain today mainly after 9 a.m. and possible before midnight tonight.  Otherwise, the high today should be near 23 and it should be mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 6.  Winds could gust as high as 22 mph during the day and overnight.  New snow could total 1-3 inches.       

Eastern Plains:  

Torrington:  There’s a slight chance of rain after noon today and a little better chance of rain and then snow until midnight tonight.  Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy today with a high near 44 and mostly cloudy, becoming mostly clear overnight with a low near 16.  

Wheatland:  There’s a chance of rain after noon, mixing with snow after 4 p.m. today and a chance of snow before midnight tonight.  Otherwise, look for it to be mostly cloudy today with a high near 44 and mostly cloudy, becoming mostly clear overnight with a low near 17.  Winds could gust as high as 25 mph overnight.  

Midwest:  Snow is likely mainly between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. today and it’s possible mainly before 8 p.m. tonight.  Otherwise, expect it to be blustery and cloudy today with a high near 24 and cloudy, becoming partly cloudy overnight with a low near 10.  Winds could gust as high as 24 mph during the day and 21 mph overnight.  New snow could total 1-2 inches.

Southeast:  

Cheyenne:   There’s a slight chance of rain after noon and rain and snow before midnight tonight.  Otherwise, look for it to be partly sunny today with a high near 55 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 19.  

Laramie:  There’s a chance of rain between noon and 5 p.m. today and a slight chance of snow before midnight tonight.  Otherwise, expect it to be partly sunny and breezy today with a high near 56 and partly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 21.  Winds could gust as high as 35 mph during the day and overnight.  

Chugwater:  There’s a slight chance of rain after noon, mixing with snow after 5 p.m. today and snow before midnight tonight.  Otherwise, it should be partly sunny today with a high near 49 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 16.  

South Central:  

Rawlins:  There’s a high wind warning in effect from 3 p.m. today until midnight tonight.  Rain then snow is likely today and there’s a slight chance of snow before midnight tonight.  Otherwise, expect it to be partly sunny and windy today with a high near 46 and mostly clear and breezy overnight with a low near 21.  Winds could gust to 55 mph during the day and 35 mph overnight.

Encampment:  There’s a high wind warning in effect from 3 p.m. today until midnight tonight.  Rain then snow is likely today and there’s a chance of snow before midnight tonight.  Otherwise, look for increasing clouds and windy conditions today with a high near 49 and it should be partly cloudy overnight with a low near 19.  Winds could gust to 45 mph during the day and 25 mph overnight.

Hanna:  There’s a high wind warning in effect from 3 p.m. today until midnight tonight.  Rain then snow is likely today and there’s a slight chance of snow before midnight tonight.  Otherwise, watch for increasing clouds and windy conditions today with a high near 48 and it should be mostly clear and breezy overnight with a low near 19.  Winds could gust to 55 mph during the day and 30 mph overnight.
