Laramie County School District 1 Superintendent, Dr. Margaret Crespo, has resigned after two years leading the largest school district in Wyoming, and amid allegations she created a hostile work environment for administrators and teachers. Cowboy State Daily’s Leo Wolfson has details.
Vehicle crashes aren’t uncommon in Yellowstone National Park, especially in the busiest months of the season. But Cowboy State Daily’s Andrew Rossi reports that a drunk driver going off the road on an August afternoon is unusual, even by the standards of Yellowstone summer incidents.
Transgender tennis athlete Brooklyn Ross has dropped out of the Governor’s Cup tennis tournament in Cheyenne this weekend. Ross, a transgender woman from Colorado, told Cowboy State daily’s Leo Wolfson that competing in the tournament wasn’t worth dealing with all the outrage and possible protests that might occur.
A Glendo man whose wife helped him dodge an aggravated assault conviction last year now faces numerous violent criminal charges for allegedly torturing and terrorizing her throughout two years of their marriage.
And though usually regarded as adorable, otters are nothing to mess with.
That’s a lesson a group of women in Montana learned this week when an otter attacked them while recreating on the Jefferson River. Cowboy State Daily’s Mark Heinz reports that all three women in the group were hurt, one bitten badly enough on her arms and face to be life-flighted to the nearest hospital.
