It’s Friday, July 7, 2023 and there is a chance for some severe weather in some parts of the state today, especially for Natrona and Johnson counties. Saturday should be a bit warmer than today with marginal risk of severe storms over much of Wyoming. Natrona and Johnson counties again look to have the greatest risk.
Central:
Casper: Expect it to be mostly sunny today with a high near 73 and an overnight low near 53 with mostly cloudy skies. There is a chance of showers tonight, mainly before 10 p.m. and some of those storms could be severe with hail, gusty winds and heavy rain. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph overnight.
Lander: There’s a good chance of rain today and a chance tonight as well, mainly before 9 p.m. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain. Expect increasing clouds today with a high near 71 and mostly cloudy skies overnight with a low near 50.
Jeffrey City: There’s a chance of rain mainly after 5 p.m. today and a greater chance tonight, mainly before midnight. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be mostly sunny today with a high near 73 and mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 48. Winds could gust to 21 mph overnight.
Southwest:
Evanston: It should be partly sunny today with a chance of afternoon showers and a high near 77 with a low near 47 overnight under mostly clear skies.
Green River: There’s a slight chance of showers after 4 p.m. and some storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be mostly sunny today with a high near 79 and partly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 50. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph during the day and 30 mph overnight.
Cokeville: There’s a slight chance of showers between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. and some storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be mostly sunny today with a high near 77 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 46. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph during the day.
Western Wyoming:
Pinedale: There’s a chance of showers today mainly between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. and some storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain. Expect increasing clouds today with a high near 70 and partly cloudy skies overnight with a low near 44. Winds could gust to near 21 mph today and tonight.
Afton: It should be sunny today with a high near 77 and partly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 46. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph overnight.
La Barge: There’s a slight chance of showers today and some storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be mostly sunny and breezy today with a high near 74 and partly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 46. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph during the day and 23 mph overnight.
Northwest:
Dubois: There’s a chance of showers after noon today through 7 p.m. tonight and some storms could produce small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be partly cloudy and breezy with a high near 67 today and partly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 45. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph during the day and 31 mph overnight.
Jackson: It should be sunny today with a high near 78 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 44.

Dayton: There’s a slight chance of showers after noon, otherwise look for patchy fog before 9 a.m. and then sunny skies today with a high near 74 and partly cloudy skies overnight with a low near 51.
Northeast:
