The Fremont County Coroner on Monday declined to discuss the discovery of a dead person under a bridge in Lander.
Two young boys reported to another party Saturday that they’d found a body lying under the bridge at Main Street in Lander, according to a call notation by the Lander Police Department.
The department did not immediately respond Monday to a Cowboy State Daily voicemail.
The body was “just laying in plain sight,” police wrote, and was female. Cowboy State Daily has since learned the body was in fact male.
The county coroner’s office declined to give the person's age or any other information.
“Everything’s under investigation and that’s really all I’m going to say about it right now,” said Coroner’s Deputy Tony Simmers.
