The following is sponsored content from the Wyoming Republican Party.
The Wyoming Republican Party wants to cut through the rhetoric and give you some facts to assist you in your votes next Tuesday.
To start, all those primary election mailers, texts and tv advertisements that drove you to call and complain to us were not from the Republican party. They were paid for by $120-million in out of state money. Why do I mention this?
Because Wyoming State law forbids us from spending money that could put on candidate over another during the primary election. Yet the law is not applied to all organizations. In fact, only the Wyoming Republican Party and Democrat Party are denied that right. To remedy this, the Wyoming Republican Party has sued the State for violating our first and fourteenth amendment protected rights to freedom of speech and political association.
That noted, we did endorse several candidates in the primary, as is allowed by law, even though we recognized we could not spend a dime promoting them. We did so to underscore the fact that Wyoming unconstitutionally bans citizens from coming together under a major party banner (213,000 of us in the Republican Party) to prevent us from promoting our top standard bearers in the Primary. A 1989 U.S Supreme Court Decision already established that political parties have the right to participate in our own primary, 37 years later we are still not in Wyoming. That will change soon.
Let’s also talk about why it is important to get out and vote for our national representation: Harriet Hageman for US Senate and Chuck Gray for US House.
71.6% of 2024 Wyoming voters cast their ballots for Donald J. Trump. The agenda we voted for included: secure borders, lower prices, addressing fraud, and a safer America.
The President needs Harriet and Chuck in Congress to support the work he’s done toward achieving that agenda. Harriet and Chuck will help him strengthen our defenses, add immigration enforcement capabilities, expose fraudsters, ensure our free market operates without external interference and counter the socialist red-green alliance growing nationwide.
As an example, Harriet Hageman has sponsored Country of Origin Labeling legislation that will protect Wyoming producers from unfair competition and protect consumers from unsafe meat. American beef is the safest in the world because our ranching communities eradicated diseases from their herds while other nations have not. Both Chuck Gray and Harriet Hageman will work diligently to pass this bill.
Finally, hundreds of your neighbors gathered tens of thousands of signatures over two years to get Proposition 1 on the ballot because our families are reeling from massive property value inflation and over taxation. There has been a lot of fear mongering about Proposition 1 and its perceived impact. Here is a tool to help you to decide to vote yes on Proposition 1: https://tax.wyoaction.com/. This website accesses Wyoming government entity reports to show you the true impact. And we think you will agree that the government can readily absorb the minimal decrease in tax revenues, less than 4% of the full property tax take. Those who take your money through taxes expect you to adjust to their needs, for once, make the government adjust to your family’s needs.
Remember, the State, Counties, and Municipalities all stash away millions in savings from surplus tax revenue annually yet they continue to spend, spend, spend while we tighten our belts to pay a tax on unrealized capital gains, money you will never see unless you sell your home. The records show there is no shortage of tax revenue funds, but there is a lack of will amongst those who create funding mechanisms to access those excess funds. Make our elected work for you, after all they are there to serve the public, not rule over us.
Bottom line: you have the power in your vote to make a difference in your family’s life. Get to the polls, Vote Republican and Vote Yes on Proposition 1.
