CASPER, WY – On Tuesday, August 4, Hilltop Bank announced that President and Chief Executive Officer, Greg Dixson, will retire August 31, following 11 years of leadership.

Board Chairman and owner, Dave True, said of Dixson, “Greg has led the company through several major initiatives, including expansion into new markets through satellite offices, the strategic acquisition of a bank in downtown Cheyenne and the construction of a brand new 6,300 square foot branch in north Cheyenne, all leading to exceeding a billion dollars in assets. Greg has also been deeply involved in the community, serving for several years on the Wyoming Banker’s Association board, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming board and the Downtown Development Authority board. We are grateful for Greg’s leadership, dedication and commitment to serving Wyoming.”

Darren Cantlay, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, will succeed Dixson as Hilltop Bank’s next President and CEO. Cantlay brings more than 25 years of financial experience, with extensive leadership across finance, operations and strategic management. Cantlay began working at Hilltop Bank in June 2024.

“Serving our customers, employees and communities over the past 11 years has been one of the greatest privileges of my career,” said Dixson. “I am incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished together, and I am confident that Hilltop Bank’s intentional approach to succession planning, along with a strong executive management team, will ensure a smooth transition and continued success under Darren’s leadership.”

Hilltop Bank, headquartered in Casper, WY, was established in 1964 by local business owners and has been locally owned and managed since it was founded. In May 1977, the H.A. “Dave” True, Jr. Family purchased the bank and has owned it ever since. Well-known and respected business people in Wyoming, the family holds interests in oil production and exploration, pipelines, ranching, software development, real estate, oilfield supplies and trucking.
