It’s Wednesday, March 22 –  and snow has returned to the Cowboy State. As of this morning, road conditions around the state have not been terrible, but snowfall and winds throughout the day could change that. More snow is in the forecast for the remainder of the week.

Central:

Lander can expect 1 to 2 inches of snow today, with a high near 30.  Casper could see up to 3 inches of snow today, with a high near 38; breezy, with gusts as high as 22 mph. 3 to 5 inches of new snow is expected in Jeffrey City, with a high near 31. 

Snow showers are likely in Lander tonight (less than half an inch possible) with a low around 20. Casper could see less than an inch of new snow early tonight, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 25; breezy, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Snow showers are likely in Jeffrey City tonight (less than an inch expected), then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 19; breezy, with gusts as high as 31 mph. 

Southwest:

Over South Pass today, travelers can expect 1 to 3 inches of snow, along with 9 to 16 mph winds, and a high near 26. Snow showers are likely in Green River today (around an inch possible), with a high near 35; breezy, with winds gusting as high as 28 mph. Snow showers in Evanston could bring up to 3 inches of new snow today, with a high near 32. 

Snow showers are likely over South Pass tonight (1 to 3 inches of new snow possible), with a low around 17; breezy, with gusts as high as 24 mph. There’s a 30 percent chance of snow showers in Green River overnight, with a low around 21; breezy, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Evanston could see 1 to 2 inches of new snow tonight, with a low around 20 amd wind chill values as low as 8. 

Western Wyoming:

Afton can expect snow showers today (less than an inch possible) with a high near 36. Around an inch of new snow could fall in La Barge today, with a high near 30; breezy, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Snow showers in Pinedale could bring between 2 to 4 inches of new snow today, along with winds gusting as high as 22 mph and a high near 28. 

Snow showers are likely overnight in Afton, with a low around 23; new snow accumulation of around an inch possible. There’s a 30 percent chance of snow showers in La Barge tonight, with a low around 16; breezy, with wind gusts as high as 23 mph. Pinedale could see around an inch of new snow tonight, with a low around 16. 

Northwest:

Snow showers are likely today in Jackson, with 1 to 3 inches of new snow possible, and a high near 36. Snow showers in Dubois could bring 1 to 3 inches of new snow, with a high near 33. Yellowstone National Park has a 40 percent chance of snow showers, with a high near 34. 

Snow showers overnight in Jackson could bring 1 to 2 inches of new snow, with a low around 23. Dubois could see 1 to 2 inches of snow overnight, with a low around 19. There’s a chance of snow showers overnight in Yellowstone, with a low around 18; new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Bighorn Basin:

There’s a slight chance of snow showers in Cody today, with a high near 37. Thermopolis could see 1 to 2 inches of new snow today, with a high near 39. Mostly cloudy today in Powell, with a high near 42.

North Central:

Snow showers are likely in Buffalo today (less than one inch possible), with a high near 32. Mostly cloudy in Sheridan today, with a 20 percent chance of snow after noon and a high near 35. There’s a 30 percent chance of snow this afternoon in Dayton, otherwise partly sunny, with a high near 32; total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

There’s a 30 percent chance of snow tonight in Hulett, with a low around 19 and wind chill values as low as 12. 

Eastern Plains:

Snow is likely this morning in Torrington, turning to rain in the afternoon, with a high near 46; new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected in Kaycee today, with a high near 35; breezy, with 10 to 15 mph winds. Lusk can expect around an inch of new snow today, with a high near 35. 

There’s a chance of rain and snow in Torrington overnight, with a low around 24. Snow showers are likely tonight in Kaycee (around an inch possible), then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 22; blustery, with winds 5 to 15 mph. Lusk has a 50 percent chance of snow overnight, with a low around 20.
