The valleys should see 3-6 inches, with some 6-8 inch amounts in a few locations. Meanwhile in south-central and southeastern Wyoming, temps in the low 60s will be reached.

It’s Wednesday, March 15 – and a new storm has arrived in many areas of the state. Yellowstone National Park and the Tetons could see 12-18 inches of new snow, with some locally higher amounts. The valleys should see 3-6 inches, with some 6-8 inch amounts in a few locations. Meanwhile in south-central and southeastern Wyoming, temps in the low 60s will be reached.

Central:

Mostly cloudy and breezy today in Riverton, with a slight chance of snow showers turning to rain this afternoon and wind gusts as high as 26 mph; gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 44. Casper has a slight chance of snow showers this morning, with snow becoming likely in the afternoon; otherwise partly sunny and very windy (HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 3:00 P.M.), with a high near 53 and wind gusts as high as 60 mph. There’s a chance of snow early in the day in Shoshoni, turning to scattered rain showers in the afternoon, but gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 41; breezy, with gusts as high as 28 mph. 

Riverton can expect scattered rain and snow showers turning to snow later tonight (less than an inch expected), with a low around 14; blustery, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Rain showers overnight in Casper, turning to snow later tonight (around an inch possible), with a low around 25; breezy, with wind gusts as high as 31 mph. Rain and snow showers are likely tonight in Shoshoni, becoming all snow after 7pm (less than half an inch possible) and a low around 12; blustery, with gusts as high as 32 mph. 

Southwest:

Rock Springs can expect snow showers in the morning (less than half an inch possible) turning to scattered rain showers in the afternoon, with a high near 44; breezy, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Evanston can expect 1-3 inches of snow today, with temperatures falling to around 30 this afternoon; breezy, with gusts as high as 43 mph. There’s an 80 percent chance of snow showers this morning in Cokeville (less than half an inch possible), with temperatures falling to around 27 this afternoon; breezy, with gusts as high as 23 mph. 

Partly cloudy overnight in Rock Springs, with isolated snow showers near dawn and a low around 18; breezy, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Snow and rain showers are expected in Thayne today (less than half an inch of snow possible), with temperatures falling to around 29 this afternoon; breezy, with gusts as high as 28 mph. 

Alpine can expect scattered snow showers tonight (less than one inch possible), with a low around 11 and wind chill values as low as zero.
