It’s Saturday, March 4 – and the open roads in south-central Wyoming didn’t stay open for long. I-80 is closed once again, as are all roads south of Lander and north of Rawlins. Temperatures have dropped, and the Cowboy State can expect more snow over the weekend.

Central:

Increasing clouds in Casper today, with a high near 37; breezy, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Isolated snow showers expected this afternoon in Lander, otherwise mostly sunny, with a high near 22 and wind chill values as low as zero. Patchy blowing snow today in Jeffrey City, otherwise partly sunny, with a high near 26 and wind chill values as low as -15; winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Casper can expect isolated snow showers tonight, with a low around 29; breezy, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Scattered snow showers in Lander overnight, with a low around 10 and wind chill values as low as zero; new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Scattered snow showers near Jeffrey City tonight, with a low around 16 and wind chill values as low as zero; breezy, with gusts as high as 34 mph creating patchy, blowing snow conditions.

Southwest:

Mostly cloudy in Green River today, with a high near 28 and wind chill values as low as zero; isolated snow showers expected after 5pm. Snow is likely in Evanston this afternoon (less than an inch possible), otherwise mostly cloudy, with a high near 30 and wind chill values as low as -3; breezy, with winds gusting as high as 34 mph. Lyman has a 30 percent chance of snow this afternoon (less than a half inch expected), with a high near 27 and wind chill values as low as -8; breezy, with gusts as high as 38 mph. 

Green River can expect scattered snow showers tonight, with a low around 16; new snow accumulation of around an inch possible. 3 to 5 inches of snow is expected overnight in Evanston, with a low around 14 and wind chill values as low as 2; breezy, with gusts as high as 41 mph. Lyman can expect 2 to 4 inches of snow overnight, with a low around 15 and wind chill values as low as 3; breezy, with gusts as high as 37 mph. 

Western Wyoming:

Snow showers in Afton today, with a high near 26; total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. Snow showers are likely this afternoon in Pinedale, with a high near 20 and wind chill values as low as -10; less than one inch of snow possible. There’s a 60% chance of snow in La Barge today, with a high near 18 and wind chill values as low as -25; total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Afton can expect 3 to 5 inches of snow tonight, with a low around 12. 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected in Pinedale overnight, with a low around 6 and wind chill values as low as -5. Snow showers are likely in La Barge tonight, with a low around 0 and wind chill values as low as -15; new snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Northwest:

Snow showers are likely this afternoon in Yellowstone National Park, with a high near 29 and wind chill values as low as zero; total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected today in Jackson, with a high near 26 and wind chill values as low as -5. Scattered snow showers are expected in Dubois today, otherwise partly sunny, with a high near 29 and wind chill values as low as -5; less than half inch of new snow possible. 

Scattered snow showers overnight in Yellowstone, with a low around 18; new snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected in Jackson overnight, with a low around 10 and wind chill values as low as -5. Bighorn Basin:

Cody can expect some isolated snow showers overnight, otherwise mostly cloudy, with a low around 14. Scattered snow showers expected in Greybull tonight, with a low around 12. Mostly cloudy overnight in Thermopolis, with a low around 12.

North Central:

Mostly sunny today in Sheridan, with a high near 35 and wind chill values as low as zero. Mostly sunny in Story today, with a high near 34 and wind chill values as low as zero. Increasing clouds today in Dayton, with a high near 34 and wind chill values as low as zero. 

There’s a 20 percent chance of snow overnight in Sheridan, with a low around 17. Story has a 20 percent chance of snow tonight, otherwise partly cloudy, with a low around 16. Dayton has a 20 percent chance of snow overnight, with a low around 15. 

Northeast:

There’s a 20 percent chance of snow today in Gillette, with a high near 30 and wind chill values as low as 2; increasing clouds and breezy, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Upton has a 30 percent chance of snow today; otherwise, increasing clouds, with a high near 36 and wind chill values as low as 4. There’s a 20 percent chance of snow this afternoon in Moorcroft, with a high near 34 and wind chill values as low as 2. 

Gillette has a 20 percent chance of snow tonight, with a low around 21; breezy, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Eastern Plains:
