It’s Thursday, March 2 – and roads in south-central Wyoming are FINALLY opened, although travelers still need to proceed with caution. Today should be fairly quiet weather-wise, in preparation for another bout of snow at the end of the week.

Central:

Increasing clouds in Lander today, with a high near 24 and wind chill values as low as zero. Sunny and windy today in Casper, with a high near 31; winds could gust as high as 33 mph. Sunny in Glenrock today, with a high near 34; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Cloudy this evening in Lander, then gradually clearing overnight, with a low around 12. Casper has a 30 percent chance of snow overnight, with a steady temperature around 30; breezy, with gusts as high as 33 mph. There’s a 30 percent chance of snow overnight in Glenrock, with a steady temperature around 28; breezy, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Southwest:

Travelers over South Pass today can expect patchy blowing snow this afternoon, otherwise mostly sunny, with a high near 18 and wind chill values as low as -10; windy, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Partly sunny in Evanston today, with a high near 24 and wind chill values as low as -4. Mostly sunny and breezy today in Kemmerer, with a high near 21 and wind chill values as low as -15; winds could gust as high as 26 mph.

Mostly cloudy and breezy over South Pass tonight, with a low around 4 and wind chill values as low as -5; winds could gust as high as 37 mph, causing patchy blowing snow conditions. Mostly cloudy tonight in Evanston, with a low around 11 and wind chill values as low as 1. Mostly cloudy overnight in Kemmerer, with a low around 5 and wind chill values as low as -5; breezy, with winds gusting as high as 21 mph.

Western Wyoming:

Mostly cloudy today in Alpine, with a high near 23. Mostly sunny and windy in Pinedale today, with a high near 19 and wind chill values as low as -15; winds could gust as high as 34 mph, causing patchy blowing snow conditions. Mostly cloudy today in Star Valley, with a high near 23. 

Alpine can expect 1 to 2 inches of snow overnight, with a low around 13. Mostly cloudy and breezy in Pinedale tonight, with a low around 1 and wind chill values as low as -10; winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Snow is likely in Star Valley overnight, with a low around 13; new snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Northwest:

Mostly sunny and windy in Dubois today, with a high near 34 and wind chill values as low as zero; winds could gust as high as 37 mph. Partly sunny and breezy today in Jackson, with a high near 24 and wind chill values as low as -10; winds could gust as high as 20 mph. There’s a 10 percent chance of snow this afternoon in Yellowstone National Park, with increasing clouds and a high near 26, with wind chill values as low as -5; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Mostly cloudy overnight in Dubois, with a low around 13; blustery, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Snow is likely in Jackson overnight, with a low around 10 and wind chill values as low as zero; new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Bighorn Basin:

North Central:

Mostly sunny today in Sheridan, with a high near 38. Mostly sunny in Clearmont today, with a high near 37 and wind chill values as low as zero. Big Horn will see mostly sunny skies, with a high near 39. 

There’s a 20 percent chance of snow overnight in Sheridan, with a low around 18. Clearmont has a 20 percent chance of snow tonight, with a low around 17. Big Horn has a 20 percent chance of snow overnight, with a low around 21. 

Northeast:

Increasing clouds today in Gillette, with a high near 33 and wind chill values as low as 7. Mostly sunny in Newcastle today, with a high near 35 and wind chill values as low as 11. Patchy fog this morning near Aladdin, otherwise, mostly sunny today, with a high near 41 and wind chill values as low as 12. 

There’s a 20 percent chance of snow overnight in Gillette, with a steady temperature around 28 and wind chill values as low as 16. Mostly cloudy tonight in Newcastle, with a low around 21. Mostly cloudy in Aladdin overnight, with a low around 27.

Eastern Plains:

Sunny in Lusk today, with a high near 35. Sunny today in Torrington, with a high near 43. Increasing clouds today in Kaycee, with a high near 36; windy, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Mostly cloudy overnight in Lusk, with a low around 20. Mostly cloudy in Torrington tonight, with a low around 26. There’s a 40 percent chance of snow overnight in Kaycee, with a low around 27; new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Southeast:

Sunny today in Cheyenne, with a high near 39. Mostly sunny in Laramie today, with a high near 31. Mostly sunny and windy today in Medicine Bow, with a high near 23 and wind chill values between zero and 5; winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

South Central:

Sunny in Rawlins today, then becoming partly sunny during the afternoon, with a high near 22 and wind chill values between -5 and 5; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Mostly sunny today in Encampment, with a high near 26. Mostly cloudy today in Baggs, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 27 and wind chill values between zero and 10. 

There’s a 20 percent chance of snow in Rawlins tonight, with a steady temperature around 19; breezy, with gusts as high as 35 mph causing patchy blowing snow conditions. Mostly cloudy overnight in Encampment, with a steady temperature around 16 and wind chill values between zero and 5. Baggs has a 20 percent chance of snow overnight, with a low around 9.
