It’s Friday, February 24th – and Mother Nature has calmed down significantly, although there is still a wind chill advisory in the northeast part of the state. A hazardous weather outlook is in place in the west and central parts of Wyoming, mostly due to light snow that continues to fall today. Roads are still closed in the south and south-central regions of the state as of this morning due to winter conditions.

Central:

Casper can expect patchy blowing snow this afternoon, with winds gusting as high as 31 mph; cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 29 and wind chill values as low as -15. Mostly sunny today in Lander, with a high near 13 and wind chill values as low as -20. Mostly cloudy in Glenrock today, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 31 and wind chill values between -10 and -20; breezy, with winds up to 15 to 20 mph.

Mostly clear overnight in Casper, with a low around 21; windy, with patchy blowing snow after 8pm and winds gusting as high as 41 mph. Mostly clear in Lander tonight, with a steady temperature around 5 and wind chill values as low as -10. Mostly clear tonight in Glenrock, with a steady temperature around 23; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Southwest:

Mostly cloudy this morning in Rock Springs, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 24 and wind chill values as low as -10. Evanston has a 20 percent chance of snow this morning, otherwise mostly sunny, with a high near 20 and wind chill values as low as -13. Cokeville can expect some isolated snow showers this morning, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 17 and wind chill values as low as -15. 

Partly cloudy in Rock Springs overnight, with a low around 1 and wind chill values as low as -5. Partly cloudy tonight in Evanston, with a low around 1 and wind chill values as low as -6. Mostly cloudy overnight in Cokeville, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around -2. 

Western Wyoming:

Isolated snow showers today in Star Valley, with a high near 24 and wind chill values as low as -10; breezy, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Pinedale can expect some isolated snow showers this afternoon, with a high near 14 and wind chill values as low as -10. In Alpine today, isolated snow showers are expected this afternoon, with a high near 24 and wind chill values as low as -5; breezy, with winds gusting as high as 20 mph. 

Isolated snow showers overnight in Star Valley, with a low around 7. Mostly cloudy in Pinedale tonight, with a steady temperature around 7 and wind chill values as low as -10. Isolated snow showers in Alpine overnight, with a low around 9.

Northwest:

Dubois can expect some isolated snow showers this afternoon, otherwise mostly sunny, with a high near 22 and wind chill values as low as -15; breezy, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Scattered snow showers in Jackson today, with a high near 23 and wind chill values as low as -10; breezy, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Mostly sunny today in Yellowstone National Park, with a high near 21 and wind chill values as low as -10; breezy, with gusts as high as 33 mph.

Partly cloudy overnight in Dubois, with a low around 11 and wind chill values as low as -5; blustery, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Scattered snow showers expected in Jackson tonight, with a low around 9 and wind chill values as low as zero. Partly cloudy overnight in Yellowstone, with a low around 14 and wind chill values as low as -5; breezy, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Bighorn Basin:

Mostly cloudy in Worland today, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 17 and wind chill values as low as -30. Sunny today in Cody, with a high near 23 and wind chill values as low as -10. Mostly sunny today in Basin, with a high near 18 and wind chill values as low as -25. 

Mostly clear overnight in Worland, with a low around -6 and wind chill values as low as -15. Mostly clear in Cody tonight, with a low around 7 and wind chill values as low as zero. Partly cloudy overnight in Basin, with a low around -2 and wind chill values as low as -10. 

North Central:

Mostly sunny today in Buffalo, with a high near 22 and wind chill values as low as -25. Mostly sunny in Sheridan and in Dayton today, with highs near 18 and wind chill values as low as -35. 

Buffalo can expect patchy blowing snow overnight, with winds gusting as high as 31 mph; otherwise mostly clear, with a low around 13. Partly cloudy tonight in Sheridan, with a steady temperature around 8 and wind chill values as low as -10. Mostly clear in Dayton overnight, with temperatures falling to near 9 by 8pm, then rising to around 17 during the remainder of the night, and wind chill values as low as -5. 

Northeast:

Mostly sunny today in Gillette, with a high near 23, but wind chill values as low as -28; breezy, with winds gusting as high as 23 mph. Mostly sunny in Sundance, with a high near 22 and wind chill values as low as -18. Partly sunny today in Hulett, with a high near 21 but wind chill values as low as -23. 

Gillette can expect some patchy blowing snow after 8pm, with gusts as high as 34 mph; otherwise mostly clear, with a low around 13 and wind chill values as low as -2. Mostly clear overnight in Sundance, with a steady temperature around 12 and wind chill values as low as -6; breezy, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Mostly clear in Hulett tonight, with a low around 4 and wind chill values as low as -5; breezy, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Eastern Plains:

Mostly cloudy in Torrington today, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 30 and wind chill values between -10 and -20. Mostly cloudy today in Lusk, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 25 and wind chill values between -15 and -25. Mostly cloudy and breezy in Wright, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 27 and wind chill values as low as -27; winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Partly cloudy overnight in Torrington, with a low around 9. Lusk can expect some patchy blowing snow tonight, with gusts as high as 30 mph; otherwise partly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 19. Patchy blowing snow with gusts as high as 43 mph today in Wright; otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 12 and wind chill values as low as -2. 

Southeast:

Mostly cloudy in Cheyenne today then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 35 and wind chill values between -5 and -15; breezy, with patchy blowing snow after noon and gusts as high as 30 mph. Laramie has a chance of flurries today, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 29 and wind chill values between -5 and 5; breezy, winds increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon, gusting as high as 30 mph. Pine Bluffs can expect some patchy blowing snow this afternoon, otherwise mostly cloudy, gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 32 and wind chill values between -5 and -15. 

Mostly clear tonight in Cheyenne, with a low around 15. Mostly clear in Laramie overnight, with a low around 13. Mostly clear tonight in Pine Bluffs, with a low around 10 and wind chill values between zero and 5. 

South Central:

Rawlins has a 40 percent chance of snow showers this morning, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 24 and wind chill values between -10 and zero; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph and patchy blowing snow. Snow showers are likely this morning in Encampment (less than an inch expected), otherwise partly sunny and breezy with a high near 24 and wind gusts as high as 35 mph. Baggs has a 50 percent chance of snow showers, and patchy fog is expected this morning, otherwise cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 30; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Partly cloudy tonight in Rawlins, with a temperature falling to near 19 by 8pm, then rising to around 23 during the remainder of the night; windy, with patchy blowing snow and gusts as high as 40 mph. Patchy blowing snow and partly cloudy skies overnight in Encampment, with temperatures rising to around 23 by 4am, but wind chill values between zero and 5; breezy, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Mostly cloudy in Baggs tonight, with a low around 9.
