It’s Thursday, February 2nd – and while most of Wyoming is getting a reprieve from the bitter cold, some parts of the state can expect some dangerous wind chills yet. Break out the sunscreen!

Central:

Mostly sunny in Riverton today, with a high near 12, and wind chill values as low as -25. Casper can expect to see patchy blowing snow after 10am; otherwise sunny, with a high near 33, and wind gusts as high as 33 mph. Sunny in Glenrock, with a high near 34. West southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Overnight, partly cloudy and cold in Riverton, with a low around -3, and wind chill values as low as -15. Blowing snow tonight in Casper under mostly clear skies, with lows around 28 and wind gusts as high as 45 mph. Mostly clear in Glenrock,  with a low around 20; windy, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Southwest:

Sunny in southwest Wyoming today. Rock Springs can expect highs near 27, but wind chill values as low as -5. Evanston’s high will be near 31, but wind chill values as low as zero. Highs near 14 in Cokeville, with wind chill values as low as -20.

Overnight, mostly clear skies will prevail in the region. Rock Springs can expect a low around 6, but wind chill values as low as zero.  Evanston will see a low around 14, and wind chill values as low as 5. Colder in Cokeville, with lows around 1, but wind chill values as low as -10.

Western Wyoming:

Sunny in Afton today, with a high near 26, and wind chill values as low as zero. Pinedale can expect sunny skies, with a high near 22, and wind chill values as low as -15. Sunny and 27 in Star Valley, with wind chill values as low as -10. 

Overnight, Afton can expect mostly clear skies, with a low around 16. Clear and cold in Pinedale, with a low around 1 and wind chill values as low as -10. Mostly clear in Star Valley, with a low around 12.

Northwest:

Sunny and warmer in Dubois today, with a high near 40; but the winds will blow the snow around, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Near Jackson and the south entrance to Yellowstone National Park, sunny skies and a high near 29, with wind chill values as low as -10.  

Mostly clear overnight in Dubois, with a low around 22, but winds will blow 18 to 22 mph. Mostly clear near the south entrance to Yellowstone, with a low around 9, but wind chill values as low as zero. Clear skies tonight in Jackson, with a low around 15.

Bighorn Basin:

Sunny, breezy and warmer in Cody today, with a high near 43, and wind gusts as high as 33 mph. Sunny in Thermopolis today, with a high near 33, and wind chill values as low as -5. Sunny and 37 today in Powell, with wind chill values as low as zero.

Overnight, Cody can expect partly cloudy skies, with a low around 28; windy, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Thermopolis should be mostly clear, with a low around 12. Mostly clear tonight in Powell, with a low around 13. 

North Central:

Mostly sunny in Sheridan today, with a high near 36. Sunny and 33 near Ranchester. Warmer near Big Horn today, with sunny skies and a high near 39. 

Overnight, Sheridan can expect partly cloudy skies, with a low around 17.  Partly cloudy and 17 degrees in Ranchester tonight. Big Horn will see lows around 25 and partly cloudy skies.

Northeast:

Mostly sunny in Newcastle today, with a high near 31, and wind chill values as low as 8. Sunny and breezy in Gillette, with a high near 33, but wind chill values as low as 16. A chance of snow flurries this morning in Hulett, otherwise mostly sunny, with a high near 35, and wind chill values as low as 8. 

Mostly clear overnight in Newcastle, with a low around 15. Mostly clear and breezy in Gillette tonight, with lows around 25, but wind chill values as low as 11; winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Clear tonight in Hulett, with a low around 15; winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Eastern Plains:

Sunny in the Lingle area today, with a high near 38. Douglas can expect sunny skies, with a high near 36. Sunny in Lusk, with a high near 34.  

Overnight, mostly clear near Lingle, with a low around 16. Clear with lows around 15 in Douglas tonight. Patchy blowing snow after 3am in Lusk, otherwise mostly clear, with temperatures rising to around 22; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Southeast:

Sunny in Cheyenne today, with a high near 38. Pine Bluffs can expect sunny skies, with a high near 37, but wind chill values between zero and 10.  Sunny today in Laramie, with a high near 33, but wind chill values between -5 and 5; winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Mostly clear overnight in Cheyenne, with temperatures rising to around 28 by morning; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Mostly clear in Pine Bluffs, with a low around 16. Mostly clear and windy in Laramie tonight, with a low around 12, and wind chill values between -10 and zero; wind gusts as high as 40 mph.

South Central:

Patchy blowing snow near Rawlins today, under sunny skies, with highs near 25 but wind chill values between zero and 10; winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Sunny with a high near 30 in Encampment, with wind chill values between zero and 10. Sunny near Saratoga, with a high near 31, and wind chill values between -5 and 5.  

Overnight, Rawlins can expect the snow to continue to blow around; mostly clear, though, with a low around 17 and wind chill values between zero and 5, with wind gusts as high as 30 mph. Mostly clear in Encampment, with lows around 12 and wind chill values between -5 and zero. Mostly clear and breezy in Saratoga tonight, with a low around 11, but wind chill values between -5 and 5.
