It’s Wednesday, February 1st –  and the weather map is a little less colorful than it has been the last week! Milder weather is prevailing, although the National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement warning that dangerously cold temperatures are still expected across most of Western and Central Wyoming through this morning.  

Central:

Patchy fog this morning in Lander and Riverton, otherwise sunny, with a high near 10 in Riverton (wind chill values as low as -30) and 19 in Lander ( ind chill values as low as -15). Sunny and windy in Casper today, with a high near 30 and gusts as high as 43 mph.

Lander can expect mostly cloudy skies overnight, with a low around 8 and wind chill values as low as zero. Mostly clear overnight in Casper, with a low around 22; windy, though, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Riverton will see increasing clouds, with a low around -3, and wind chill values as low as -15. 

Southwest:

Sunny skies are prevailing in southwest Wyoming today. Evanston should see a high near 24, but wind chill values as low as -9. Rock Springs can expect highs near 28, but wind chill values as low as zero. Highs near 21 in Kemmerer, with wind chill values as low as -15.

Overnight, Evanston will see mostly clear skies, with a low around 7, and wind chill values as low as -1. Partly cloudy tonight in Rock Springs and in Kemmerer, with lows around 6, but wind chill values as low as -5. 

Western Wyoming:

Patchy fog throughout much of Western Wyoming before 11am, otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 16 in Pinedale (wind chill values as low as -15), 20 in Afton (wind chill values as low as -5) and 22 near Thayne (wind chill values as low as -10).

Mostly clear overnight in Afton, with a low around 9. Pinedale can expect partly cloudy skies, with a low around 0, and wind chill values as low as -10. Clear skies expected tonight near Thayne, with a low around 6 and wind chill values as low as zero.

Northwest:

Patchy fog before 11am in Jackson, otherwise sunny, with a high near 22, and wind chill values as low as -10. Mostly sunny in Dubois today, with a high near 33, but wind chill values as low as zero; breezy, with gusts as high as 32 mph. In Yellowstone National Park, there’s a 30 percent chance of snow near Lake, otherwise partly sunny and breezy, with a high near 25 and wind chill values as low as -10; winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Overnight, mostly clear in Jackson, with a low around 9, and wind chill values as low as zero. Clear skies expected in Dubois, with lows around 17, but wind gusts as high as 28 mph. Mostly clear tonight at Yellowstone Lake, with a low around 10 and wind chill values as low as -5; breezy, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Bighorn Basin:

Mostly sunny in Cody today, with a high near 41; windy, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Patchy fog before 11am in Worland today, otherwise sunny, with a high near 25 and wind chill values as low as -20. Lovell can expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 30 and wind chill values as low as -5. 

Overnight, Cody can expect mostly cloudy skies and blustery winds, clearing up towards dawn, with lows around 24, but wind gusts as high as 39. Mostly clear in Worland tonight, with a low around 0, and wind chill values as low as -10. Lovell can expect mostly cloudy skies overnight, gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 11.  

North Central:

Mostly sunny and warmer in Buffalo, with a high near 35. Mostly sunny near Story, with a high near 38. Mostly cloudy in Sheridan, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 35, and wind chill values as low as zero.  

Partly cloudy overnight in Buffalo and in Story, with a low around 21 in Story and 23 in BuffaloSheridan can expect partly cloudy skies, with a low around 13. 

Northeast:

Sunny today near Sundance, with a high near 29, but wind chill values as low as -2. Newcastle can expect sunny skies, with a high near 28, and wind chill values as low as 2. Gillette should be mostly sunny, with a high near 30, and wind chill values as low as 2.  

Sundance has a 20 percent chance of snow showers after 11pm tonight; partly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 19 and wind chill values as low as 9. Mostly clear in Newcastle tonight, with a low around 14. Partly cloudy tonight near Sundance and Gillette, with a low around 14 in Sundance and 16 in Gillette

Eastern Plains:

Sunny today near Torrington, with a high near 34; winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Patchy blowing snow today in Wheatland, otherwise sunny and windy, with a high near 32; winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Sunny today in Wright, with a high near 27, but wind chill values as low as -2; winds could gust as high as 21 mph. 

Overnight, mostly clear in Torrington, with a low around 14. Clear and breezy in Wheatland, with lows around 21, and gusts as high as 35 mph (watch for blowing snow). Mostly clear tonight in Wright, with a low around 15, but wind chill values as low as 6, with winds gusting as high as 21 mph.

Southeast:

Sunny in Laramie today, with a high near 29, but wind chill values between -10 and zero. Patchy blowing snow in Medicine Bow and in Cheyenne, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 36 in Cheyenne (winds could gust as high as 35 mph) and 24 near Medicine Bow (wind chill values between -10 and zero). Windy near Medicine Bow, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Overnight, mostly clear in Laramie and CheyenneLaramie can expect lows around 10 (wind chill values between zero and 5). Blustery tonight near Cheyenne, with lows around 20. Patchy blowing snow expected near Medicine Bow overnight, with mostly clear skies and a low around 12; winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

South Central:

Sunny today in Baggs, with a high near 21, and wind chill values between -15 and -25. Patchy blowing snow near Rawlins, with sunny skies and a high near 22 (wind chill values between -10 and zero); windy, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Saratoga can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 26, but wind chill values between -5 and 5. 

Overnight, Baggs can expect mostly clear skies, with a low around 1, and wind chill values between -5 and zero.  Mostly clear near Rawlins tonight, with a steady temperature around 17, but wind chill values between zero and 5; breezy, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Saratoga can expect mostly clear skies, with a low around 10, and wind chill values between zero and 10.
