A Rock Springs man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly plowing through a yard toppling a utility pole, smashing through a fence, and destroying a shed.

The Rock Springs Police Department said they responded to a residential area at 1:19am on Sunday to find the remains of vehicle and wreckage strewn all over the lawn of a house and street.

Upon arriving, no one was found in the vehicle but the suspect was reportedly spotted running away on foot at an exceptionally slow speed.

He was immediately captured, authorities said.

Kyle Dobbins, a Utah resident who was staying with friends in Rock Springs over the weekend, told Cowboy State Daily the street looked like a war zone and the area was without power for about 12 hours.

“It was a disaster,” Dobbins said. “No one someone sober could do that if he tried. I’m surprised he didn’t plow through the house. What an idiot.”

The police department identified the man as Joshua Nottingham. He was arrested after showing signs of impairment along with the odor of alcohol.

Nottingham’s mugshot was also released in which he appeared to not be having a good day.
