Dear editor:
So Dave Simpson is not buying crap, according to his May 13 column. Dave rested his case. Case closed. This publication won't let anybody argue with Dave. There is no debate here, no contest of ideas. You just push hard right propaganda, and pretend it's mainstream.
If you actually allowed debate, I would NOT try and debate Dave about whether Trump intends to be GEOTUS, which stands for God Emperor of the United States, and never even have another election, let alone fail to relinquish office. This can't be proved either way.
I would NOT try to debate Dave about whether Trump left-office gracefully in 2021, as Dave claims – because a grand-jury of ordinary citizens already voted that Trump did not leave office gracefully, but tried to orchestrate a coup to keep Trump in the White House, on Jan 6. If anybody thinks I am making this up, about GEOTUS, Google it and see how many people believe that is what Trump already is.
I would NOT try to debate Dave on whether the anti-trans legislation that the Wyoming legislature snuck through the recent BUDGET session was in response to a groundswell of pressure from Wyoming citizens, or in response to pressure from outside agitators – because we can never know the answer to that.
What I would debate Dave on is his contention that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump. Here are some actual facts, as opposed to Dave's speculation about what happened behind cardboard covered windows.
Trump claimed that he really won the 2016 popular vote, which history says Trump lost by 7 million votes. Trump claimed that there were more than 7 million illegal votes for Hillary, and Trump created a blue ribbon commission to prove it. The commission found no illegal votes.
But Trump persisted, creating a special Justice Department Office with a long name, dedicated to ensuring election integrity, to monitor the 2020 election. This office was headed up by Christopher Krebs, a lifelong Republican, handpicked by Trump. According to Krebs, the 2020 election was the “most secure election in American history”.
Dave wants us to believe that Krebs somehow knew that the 2020 election would be stolen, so Krebs faked being a Republican for decades, so Krebs could get close to Trump, get hired for this job, and then lie about how secure the election was.
Dave wants us to believe that Trump's hand-picked Attorney General, who supported Trump on everything, only did so in order to get close enough to have the opportunity to backstab Trump in the end, by saying about the supposedly stolen election “It's all bullshit."
Dave wants us to believe that Chief Justice Roberts, sent secret messages to all the judges that heard Trump's election fraud lawsuits, to quash the suits, and none of those judges ratted Roberts out.
What I would love to debate Dave about is my proposition that there is nothing more unpatriotic than casting aspersions on the integrity of our elections, because if our elections are fraudulent, then our entire Democratic system is a lie, and every American soldier who ever gave his life on the battlefield died in vain, a chump, fighting for the biggest lie in the history of the planet.
