Dear editor:

We can't help but notice property taxes are coming due again. As always they go up every year and although the legislature claimed they would help what they really did was absolutely nothing but talk, talk, talk.

Wyoming homeowners are being scalped. Every year property taxes go up based on imaginary value increases.

Taxes should only be assessed based on the original sale price of the home not on unrealized gains. New assessment could be made at time of resale or refinance.

This is fair to all parties concerned and allows financial breathing room for homeowners.

When will the taxpayers be listened to?
