The skeletal remains of what used to be lush forests are the result of a pine beetle epidemic that ripped through Wyoming and surrounding states during the 2000s and 2010s. Those ghostly trees are here to stay for a while, according to experts.
Between 2000 and 2022, the world saw a decrease in the number of global climate-related natural disasters, which is in conflict with much of the reporting on climate change.
Lawyers for the Biden administration argued Thursday that government officials are not trying to coerce social media platforms, particularly on the topics of the COVID-19 pandemic, and elections - but a federal judge compared some of the government’s messaging to menacing mafia overtones.
