There are wrecks and then there are wrecks.

An accident in Wellington, Colorado, on Monday morning falls into the latter category.

A car traveling at a high rate of speed veered off of Interstate 25 and flew more than 150 feet in the air before hitting a power pole, trees, and then landing in a garage and smashing into three antique vehicles.

The Colorado State Patrol told Cowboy State Daily that the accident likely happened around 2:30 a.m. on Monday as that’s when power in the area was interrupted.

The patrol received its first call on the matter at 4:31 a.m.

Troopers were unable to find the driver of the vehicle at the scene. As of Tuesday morning, he or she still had not been apprehended.

The vehicles damaged in the accident were identified as a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, a 1966 Corvette, and a 1966 Nova (and a Toyota Camry).
