The latest celebrity to (publicly) visit Wyoming in recent months is actor Rob Lowe, who took a ski trip in the Tetons this week.
Lowe has taken to social media, Instagram to be precise, to share videos and photos from his trip. His most recent post was a video on Wednesday, so Jackson residents might want to keep an eye out for the movie and TV star.
“I’ve just done a big hike to the top of these chutes in the Tetons,” Lowe said in the most recent video, with sweat pouring down his face. “I can’t even talk, I’m so oxygen deprived.”
One video shows Lowe taking off and skiing down the side of a mountain, with one of his sons joking in the comments “The discerning eye will capture that wipeout that was .01 seconds away from occurring.”
His sons regularly tease him in his Instagram posts, so it just goes to show you that even if you are a famous actor, your kids can still think you’re lame.
Lowe’s first post from the trip was another image of him hitting the powder, with one of his film co-stars poking fun at him in the comments.
“‘Chasing the rush’ = desperate for hot cocoa!” wrote C. Thomas Howell, Lowe’s co-star from the 1980s film “The Outsiders,” which starred basically every other famous young actor from that time period (Matt Dillon, Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise and Ralph Macchio, to name a few).
As the health mandates across the country begin to loosen, one wonders what other famous faces might make their way to Wyoming this year.
