Count another Member of Congress firmly against Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky.

This member is close to home — Wyoming’s sole representative in the House of Representatives, Liz Cheney.

Bloomberg News on Thursday reported that Cheney’s political action committee — Cowboy PAC — donated $2,500 to the primary opponent of Rep. Massie just four days after he forced the House to return to DC to vote in person on the $2 trillion economic stimulus package.

In demanding the members vote in-person, Massie accomplished something very rare in Washington, DC: bi-partisanship.  Everyone hated him. Both sides of the aisle.

President Trump called him a “third-rate grandstander” and expressed the hope that he would not only lose his congressional seat but be kicked out of the Republican Party.

In retweeting Trump, Former Secretary of State John Kerry said Massie was something that he and Trump could finally agree on.

“Breaking News: Congressman Massie has tested positive for being an asshole. He must be quarantined to prevent the spread of his massive stupidity,” Kerry said.

As for Cheney, her office didn’t offer much when asked about the $2,500 donation. Perhaps the donation said it all.

“She agrees with President Trump on this,” a spokesperson said.
