The Powell Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating a local man who has been missing for nearly a week.
Clint White, 52, was last seen on surveillance video leaving his home Wednesday, March 26, just before 2 a.m., Powell Police Chief Jim Rhea told Cowboy State Daily.
His family, in coordination with local faith groups, are actively searching for him outside of the Powell city area, Rhea said Monday.
Rhea met with White’s family and all are concerned for his safety because it’s uncharacteristic for him to leave without contacting them.
So far, there’s no indication that there’s any foul play nor was there any suggestion that White may have been experiencing any mental health issues.
“We’re just treating this as a missing person at this point and are working with the family to try to find his location,” Rhea said.
Left Town?
White is driving a dark gray 2018 Toyota Tacoma with County 11 Wyoming license plates.
Currently, White’s family has joined with local faith groups to search for him outside of Powell city limits, where he’s believed to have gone.
He is believed to have a cellphone and other devices with him, but location trackers have since been turned off, Rhea stated.
Likewise, he’s also believed to have his wallet with him and family is closely monitoring his accounts.
Rhea said the police department is also looking at other unspecified methods for tracking White’s vehicle.
“We’re looking into avenues regarding that, but we have exhausted our capabilities right now for cellular devices and location services for those,” he said.
He asks that the public be on the lookout for his vehicle and to report any sightings.
White is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall and about 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt, tan khaki pants and a blue baseball cap.
He was also seen leaving his home with a black and red generator and black and white checkered blanket.
