Clouds and snow in parts of western Wyoming on Thursday and sun and wind in other areas of the state. Winter storm warnings, winter weather advisories and high wind advisories with gusts above 50 mph in some locations. Warmer with highs from the teens to the upper 30s and lows from the single digits to the upper 20s. 

 

Central:  

Casper:  High wind watch until 5 a.m. Friday. Increasing clouds and windy today with a high near 38 and wind gusts as high as 50 mph. Mostly cloudy and windy overnight with a slight chance of snow before 10 p.m., a low near 29 and wind gusts as high as 50 mph.

 

Riverton:  Increasing clouds and breezy today with a high near 27 and wind gusts as high as 30 mph. Mostly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 11 and wind gusts as high as 26 mph.

 

Shoshoni:  Increasing clouds today with a high near 25 and mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 11 and wind gusts as high as 21 mph.

 

Southwest:  

Evanston Winter weather advisory from noon today until 5 p.m. Friday. Chance of up to 3 inches of snow, increasing clouds today with a high near 30 and up to 4 inches of snow near certain overnight with a low near 26 and wind from 14-18 mph.

  

Green River:  Slight chance of snow after 4 p.m., increasing clouds today with a high near 32 and cloudy overnight with a chance of snow mainly after 2 a.m. and a low near 21.

 

Lyman:  Winter weather advisory from noon today until 5 p.m. Friday. Chance of snow after 11 a.m., otherwise partly sunny today with a high near 25 and snow likely overnight with a low near 17.

 

Western Wyoming:  

Pinedale:  Cold weather advisory ends at 10 a.m. today. Winter storm warning takes effect at 1 p.m. today and continues through 8 a.m. tomorrow. Up to 2 inches of snow (heavy at times) likely mainly after 4 p.m., increasing cloudstoday with a high near 17 and up to 4 inches of snow near certain mainly before 2 a.m. overnight with a low near 9.

 

Alpine:  Cold weather advisory ends at 10 a.m. today. Winter storm warning takes effect at 1 p.m. today and continues through 11 a.m. Saturday. Up to 4 inches of snow (heavy at times) likely mainly after 3 p.m. today with a high near 23 and up to 10 inches of snow (heavy at times) overnight with a low near 19.

 

Big Piney:  Cold weather advisory ends at 10 a.m. today. Winter weather advisory takes effect at 1 p.m. today and continues through 8 a.m. Friday. Chance of snow (heavy at times) mainly after 4 p.m., increasing clouds today with a high near 15 and up to 4 inches of snow mainly before 2 a.m. overnight with a low near 4.

 

Northwest:  

Dubois Chance of snow mainly after 4 p.m., patchy blowing snow before 11 a.m., increasing clouds and blustery today with a high near 24 and wind gusts as high as 30 mph. Mostly cloudy and blustery overnight with a chance of snow, a low near 19 and wind gusts as high as 24 mph.

 

Jackson:  Cold weather advisory ends at 10 a.m. today. Winter storm warning takes effect at 1 p.m. today and continues through 11 a.m. Saturday. Up to 2 inches of snow likely mainly after 3 p.m. today with a high near 20 and breezy, up to 5 inches of snow (heavy at times) overnight with patchy blowing snow before 8 p.m., a low near 16 and wind gusts as high as 20 mph.

 

Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park:  Winter weather advisory takes effect at 1 p.m. today and continues through 11 a.m. Saturday. Snow likely mainly after 4 p.m., increasing clouds today with a high near 20 and wind gusts as high as 21 mph.  Up to 4 inches of snow near certain overnight with a low near 12.

 

Bighorn Basin:  

Thermopolis Increasing clouds today with a high near 27 and wind gusts as high as 21 mph. Mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 13 and wind gusts as high as 21 mph.

 

Cody:  Cold weather advisory ends at 10 a.m. today. Increasing clouds and breezy today with a high near 17 and wind gusts as high as 23 mph. Mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 9.
