The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 15-year-old boy found in a home on Firethorn Lane just outside Riverton early Monday morning.
Someone reported the boy’s death to the sheriff’s office at 9:25 Monday morning, according to a press release the agency dispatched Tuesday.
The death is being investigated as suspicious. An autopsy is slated for Tuesday afternoon, the statement says.
The ambulance call notation for that date and time lists the incident as a stabbing or gunshot.
Fremont County Sheriff Ryan Lee has identified the youth but has declined to release that identity publicly since the investigation is ongoing, the statement adds.
No other information has been released, including how the teen died and the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body.
Fremont County Coroner Erin Ivie is also investigating.
