Dear editor:

On September 27, 2023, I sent a message to Rocky Mountain Power asking about the reasoning for their rate increase.

I sent this after reading their lengthy email defending their increase.

My question was very simple. I asked, "How much of the rate increase is going to fund the black hole of wind and solar power projects, which do not produce sufficient energy for anyone…and maintenance costs are WAY TOO HIGH?”

I received a response from their automated semi-artificial semi-intelligent server stating that I would hear back from them in one business day. Let me see if I can figure this out.:

I sent the message on September 27 at 10:07 AM.

By September 28 at 10:08 AM I had not received a reply.

Today is October 3rd at 6:30 AM.

This means I have waited a week to hear back in one business day and still have no answer.

Maybe their solar or wind-powered calendar is not charging sufficiently to let them know that they missed their self-imposed deadline to respond to a customer’s question as they promised they would.

Sincerely,

Steve Kahne, Pinedale
