Good morning, and welcome to Cowboy State Daily radio news for Wednesday, September 20, 2023!

Today’s top stories:

Riverton residents voiced their opposition to Rocky Mountain Power’s requested 30% increase in electricity rates Monday, telling the Public Service Commission that the increase would "destroy so many families."

A group of pranksters caused a disruption in the online presentation of Monday night’s Wyoming Public Service Commission meeting, flashing participants and shouting out racial slurs.

The Wyoming Legislature is considering cracking down on Delta 8, a hemp derivative that has been evading investigators because of a loophole in state laws.

A Riverton man convicted last year of molesting a young girl for most of her life will not get a new trial.

And thousands of Centurylink customers on Tuesday were left without phone service after a fiber break, which affected 911 service for people in Casper and northeast Wyoming.
