Much of the state can expect more rain again today and tonight with cooler temperatures than normal.  Many locations could get heavy rain and there is a flood watch in effect mostly in areas of northern Wyoming.

It’s Friday, August 4, 2023 and much of the state can expect more rain again today and tonight with cooler temperatures than normal.  Many locations could get heavy rain and there is a flood watch in effect mostly in areas of northern Wyoming.  

Central:   

Casper:   There’s a flood watch in effect until 11 p.m. tonight with a chance of showers today and mainly before midnight tonight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be mostly sunny and breezy today with a high near 75 and mostly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 56. Winds could gust to 25 mph during the day and 28 mph overnight. 

Lander:  Showers are likely today and possible before midnight tonight.   Some storms could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be partly sunny today with a high near 70 and mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 51. Winds could gust to 20 mph overnight. 

Glenrock:  There’s a chance of showers today and a slight chance overnight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be mostly sunny and breezy today with a high near 78 and partly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 54. Winds could gust to 30 mph during the day and overnight. 

Southwest:   

Evanston There’s a slight chance of rain after noon, otherwise it should be sunny today with a high near 73 and mostly clear overnight with a low near 46. 

Green River:  There’s a chance of showers mainly after 4 p.m. today.  Some storms could include heavy rain.  Otherwise, it should be sunny and breezy today with a high near 79 and mostly clear and breezy overnight with a low near 51. Winds could gust to 28 mph during the day and 26 mph overnight. 

Cokeville There’s a slight chance of rain today.  Some storms could produce heavy rain.  Otherwise, it should be mostly sunny and breezy today with a high near 76 and mostly clear and breezy overnight with a low near 46. Winds could gust to 21 mph during the day and overnight. 

Western Wyoming:   

Pinedale:  There’s a chance of showers today and before 1 a.m. overnight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain.  Otherwise, it should be partly sunny and breezy today with a high near 69 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 45. Winds could gust to 21 mph during the day and 20 mph overnight. 

Afton:  Rain is likely today and possible mainly before 7 p.m. tonight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain.  Otherwise, it should be partly sunny today with a high near 73 and partly cloudy overnight with a low near 47.  

La Barge:  There’s a chance of showers mainly between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. today. Some storms could produce heavy rain.  Otherwise, it should be mostly sunny and breezy today with a high near 74 and mostly clear and breezy overnight with a low near 44. Winds could gust to 25 mph during the day and overnight. 

Northwest:   

Dubois:  Rain is likely today and overnight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain.  The high today should be about 64 and it should be mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 45. 

Jackson:  There’s a flood watch in effect until 11 p.m. tonight with showers likely today and possible before midnight tonight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy today with a high near 71 and mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 44.  

Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park:  There’s a flood watch in effect until 11 p.m. tonight with rain likely today and possible overnight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. The high today should be about 65 and it should be cloudy overnight with a low near 43. 

Bighorn Basin:   

Thermopolis There’s a flood watch in effect until 11 p.m. tonight with showers likely today and possible tonight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy and breezy today with a high near 74 and mostly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 57. Winds could gust to 23 mph during the day and 24 mph overnight. 

Cody: There’s a flood watch in effect until 11 p.m. tonight with showers likely today and overnight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy and breezy today with a high near 70 and cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 55. Winds could gust to 23 mph during the day and 22 mph overnight. 

Worland:  There’s a flood watch in effect until 11 p.m. tonight with rain possible today and overnight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be mostly cloudy and breezy today with a high near 73 and mostly cloudy and breezy overnight with a low near 55. Winds could gust to 29 mph during the day and 30 mph overnight. 

North Central:   

Buffalo:   There’s a flood watch in effect until 6 p.m. tomorrow night with showers near certain today and likely overnight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. It should be windy today with a high near 69 and breezy overnight with a low near 56. Winds could gust to 34 mph during the day and 33 mph overnight. 

Sheridan:   There’s a flood watch in effect until midnight tonight with rain near certain today and likely overnight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. The high today should be about 73 and low overnight near 56. 

Big Horn:  There’s a flood watch in effect until midnight tonight with showers near certain today and overnight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. The high today should be about 72 and low overnight near 56. 

Northeast:   

Gillette There’s a flood watch in effect until 6 p.m. tomorrow night.  Showers are likely mainly after 2 p.m. today and before 10 p.m. tonight. Some storms could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be cloudy today with a high near 68 and cloudy overnight with a low near 54.  Winds could gust to 22 mph during the day and 26 mph overnight. 

Sundance:  There’s a flood watch in effect until 6 p.m. tomorrow night.  Rain is likely today and overnight. Some storms could produce heavy rain. The high today should be around 67 and the low overnight near 54.  Winds could gust to 16 mph during the day and 21 mph overnight. 

Upton:  There’s a flood watch in effect until 6 p.m. tomorrow night.  Showers are likely mainly after noon today and before 9 p.m. tonight. Some storms could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be cloudy today with a high near 72 and cloudy overnight with a low near 54.  Winds could gust to 18 mph during the day and 24 mph overnight. 

Eastern Plains:   

Torrington:  There’s a chance of rain today and a slight chance before midnight tonight.  Some storms could produce heavy rain. Otherwise, it should be sunny today with a high near 87 and partly cloudy overnight with a low around 56. Winds could gust to 25 mph during the day.

Kaycee:   There’s a flood watch in effect until 6 p.m. tomorrow night.  Showers are likely today and overnight. Some storms could produce heavy rain. Southeast:
