Dear editor:
I just read your article about the emergency court hearing for Wyoming’s New Abortion Ban. I first want to say Thank you to the Wyoming legislature for having the courage to protect the sanctity of human life and our most precious gift: CHILDREN!
I have to say when I hear of the things mentioned in your article, “Abortion as a health care alternative, ethical and sound, sincerely held religious beliefs” I wonder what has happened to this world.
First and foremost, the Bible, God’s inspired word does not advocate for abortion. Life and death belongs to God and God alone. Furthermore, Jesus specifically addressed children when he was teaching: “suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come to me…” and Psalm 127:3-5 says “…children are a heritage of the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward…”
As a parent of a child born with a disability, who has since passed and is with Jesus, how can people place such little value on human life! Every child has something to offer and can change a life!
Life does begin at conception, and God’s word verifies it! Read Psalm 139.
And, finally ( I bet you are saying it’s about time😂), this thing about transgender men and “people who are or may be pregnant.” Those would be women! Only women can have babies! Men can’t, I would love to see that happen! Gender (of which there are only TWO), is determined by our God and you can’t change that!
As you have already figured out, I am a very conservative Christian man, and believe the word of God is the one true guide to morality and ethics.
Thank you for your time,
Scott Smith
