Our regular readers know that for almost the last two years, we’ve been publishing a new Wyoming sunrise every morning here at Cowboy State Daily.
It all started when we published a photo of the sun cresting over the runway at the Cheyenne Airport on a chilly winter’s day.
We were up in Don Day’s office in the old airport tower and the sunrise was gorgeous. Later in the day, a reader from Worland emailed us a photo of a sunrise in the badlands of Washakie County.
We published it the next day and it all started from there.

Now we’re turning the daily sunrise feature into a calendar.
This was not an easy task. Going through hundreds of photos for a 12-month calendar was really difficult.
We wanted to hit all areas of the state while getting the right seasons with the corresponding months.
Now it’s ready for prime time.
