The Pacific wave that is bringing in snow, rain, and even some thunderstorms this weekend will also bring bitter cold in other parts of the state.

It’s Thursday, March 16 – and although the worst is over from this latest storm front it will remain cold throughout the state. Watch out for sketchy road conditions over South Pass and through Ten Sleep Canyon this morning; along the east slope of the Big Horns; and some areas on I-80 between Laramie and Rawlins and I-25 north of Cheyenne.

It’s Wednesday, March 15 – and a new storm has arrived in many areas of the state. Yellowstone and the Tetons could see 12-18+ inches of new snow. The valleys should see 3-6 inches, with some 6-8 inch amounts in a few locations. Meanwhile in south-central and southeastern Wyoming, temps in the low 60s will be reached.
