Dear editor: Let’s not force a family into a hurtful and difficult decision. This is Wyoming. Surely we can do better than that.

Dear editor:

Regarding the Powell family with four dogs.

Why [doesn't the town change its] policy a bit?

Could the city limit residents to two dogs outside at a time within city limits?

This would reduce the noise level and other issues that seem to come with dog ownership.

Solving the problem without the bureaucratic nonsense would be preferable. If we treat our neighbors with respect and consideration, we can skip the legal stuff.

Good manners tend to ease things along. Just sayin’.

Wyoming has an abundance of areas where dogs are welcome.

In Buffalo, you take the Clear Creek Trail right on up into the Big Horns. It starts on Main Street and connects with most neighbourhoods. Everyone uses it year round. It’s a beautiful hike.

An opportunity for compromise and creative problem solving is available. Why not step into the moment and come up with a solution. It might benefit the whole town.

Let’s not force a family into a hurtful and difficult decision. This is Wyoming. Surely we can do better than that.

Sincerely,

Kris Breuer, Hulett
