Today’s decision by the Wyoming Supreme Court to allow abortion to continue in our state is a deeply painful blow to all who believe that every innocent human life is made in the image of God and worthy of protection.
We grieve this decision, not as those without hope, but as those who trust in the goodness, justice, and sovereignty of God.
The Lord is neither surprised by this ruling nor constrained by it. His authority does not originate in courts, and His purposes are not undone by human institutions.
John 1:5 reminds us that “The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
We are compelled to speak plainly about the troubling nature of this decision.
The judiciary has once again stepped beyond its proper role, assuming the authority of the legislature and subverting the clearly expressed will of the people of Wyoming.
The courts were never supposed to be a “super-legislature,” undermining the work of elected representatives of the people.
When courts function not as interpreters of law but as makers of policy, the balance of our constitutional system is undercut, and self-governance is weakened.
Equally concerning is the continued redefinition of language required to justify abortion.
To label the intentional ending of innocent human life as “healthcare” is not clarity; it is deliberate deception.
It is a distortion of words that echoes the manipulation of reality George Orwell warned of in his famous book “1984.”
True healthcare heals and protects; it does not require the destruction of the most vulnerable among us.
Scripture warns us in Isaiah 5:20, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.” Even when culture and courts attempt to blur moral lines, God’s truth remains unchanged.
This ruling is a stark reminder of why Wyoming Family Alliance was founded.
We will not stop advocating for the unborn, supporting women and families, and laboring for laws that reflect both moral truth and constitutional integrity.
This moment calls for renewed faithfulness: faithfulness in prayer, in public witness, and in compassionate action.
Wyoming Family Alliance remains steadfast in its commitment to defend life, uphold truth, and contend for the good of Wyoming, trusting God with the outcome and persevering in obedience.
Our hope has never rested in a court decision. Our hope is in the Lord, who reigns forever, whose justice is perfect, and whose mercy endures.
