“Legacy, in our understanding, means generational. And, in this vein, we want to be a generational practice,” explains Dr. Youmans. With years of experience at Aspen Ridge Dental, Dr. Youmans and his partner, Dr. Ben Emery, are expanding their vision with Legacy Dental designed to deliver innovative and comprehensive care in Central Wyoming.

“Our current practice, Aspen Ridge Dental, has grown — not only in technology, but in the services that we provide to our patients,” Youmans stated. “It has become abundantly clear over the last several years that this space is not able to meet the demands of both my surgical practice, as well as Dr. Emery’s restorative practice, and the comprehensive hygiene program that we employ as well.”

Recognizing the growing demand for complex dental and surgical services, Dr. Youmans and Dr. Emery established Legacy Dental to provide a highly efficient space for specialized care with easier access for patients and staff.  “It was both of us, as entrepreneurs, talking about how we could better offer our services. Legacy Dental is the result of those conversations,” said Dr. Youmans.

Legacy Dental, as the flagship of the Legacy Institute, offers complex dental implant reconstruction, oral surgery, sedation, and comprehensive restorative procedures. The state-of-the-art facility features expanded procedure rooms and daily sedation appointments, supporting efficient surgical flow and integrated patient care.  “We have the experience and technology to treat all sorts of dental problems: from single tooth extraction to wisdom teeth and full exodontia; from single implants to complex full-arch reconstruction; from single crowns to full mouth reconstruction,” states Emery.  “Additionally, this can all be done while our patients are sleeping, providing an exceptionally comfortable dental experience.”

“With Legacy Institute, we’re developing an integrative medicine arm to help evaluate and care for medically compromised and healthy patients alike,” explains Dr. Youmans. Their goal: to collaborate with primary care providers, transforming the clinic into an integrative health resource.  “We feel that all over the country, including Casper and Central Wyoming, access to medical care can oftentimes be challenging. It’s our goal to help the medical community in screening, treating, and resolving medical ailments; not as a standalone clinic but in conjunction with other primary care providers and specialists, allowing us to be not just a ‘dental clinic,’ but rather an integrative health clinic that can facilitate significant health improvement in general.”

Beyond patient care, Legacy Dental serves as a teaching institute for professionals. “We like to say, ‘This is where the best come to get better,’” Dr. Youmans emphasized. The Legacy Institute plans to host training courses and conferences, enabling dental professionals from Central Wyoming and beyond to advance their skills without the burden of extensive travel.

Committed to excellence, Legacy Dental actively recruits outstanding dentists, hygienists, and support staff. “We’ve always looked for talented employees, and we have been fortunate to hire simply the best and brightest available. We look forward to continuing this trend as we grow,” Youmans shared. The team’s ongoing expansion supports both high-quality care and educational programs.

Legacy Dental’s commitment to unparalleled care and continuous professional development shapes its lasting impact. “We feel that our legacy will continue to bring unparalleled care and compassion to this community and its surrounding areas at a very high level with excellent practitioners that span a broad scope of oral and health needs,” affirmed Dr. Youmans. Ultimately, Legacy Dental aims not just to define its own legacy, but to help patients and professionals build theirs—one smile at a time.
