Dear editor,
It has become evident [between] the state Democrats and the Freedom Caucus, there really is a full circle of ridiculous, and those of us with logic and deliberate thoughts cannot be inside of it.
I consider myself to be a grounded person who thinks a bit before I speak. I have begun to wonder though if any of our politicians actually do.
Several state Democrats came forth and spewed even more demeaning nonsense in the wake of Charlie Kirk's death, declaring him a bigot and racist.
Having listened to Charlie and his message of faith, conservative values, and strength of family I am struggling very hard to connect that with bigotry or racism.
Holding the same beliefs as Charlie, I wonder if they would call me bigoted and racist as well?
Then you couple that with the ridiculous antics and comments by members of the Freedom Caucus.
From the persecution of librarians to the latest about wealthy second home owners spending their saved taxes on jets and fuel somehow bolstering my personal bottom line is just as ridiculous.
It appears that those of us centered in grounded values and faith really have very little representation in Cheyenne.
My two cents.
Sincerely,
Richard Nielsen, Gillette
