In Wyoming House District 13, incumbent Ken Chestek, D-Laramie, held off a challenge from Republican Shane Swett.

The vote was 1,937 for Chestek, and 1,711 for Swett, according to unofficial results from the Albany County Clerk’s Office.

Laramie remains a stronghold for Democrats, with incumbents Trey Sherwood and Karlee Provenza also fending off Republican challengers.

Chestek is known for being outspoken on some topics, including occasionally butting heads with conservative Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray.
