Green River Republican Marlene Brady won her bid for House District 60 on Tuesday night, beating Democratic challenger Carmen Whitehead by 1,531 votes.
Brady is aligned with the Wyoming Freedom Caucus, which will take over the majority of Republican seats in the Wyoming House next year.
Brady beat Rep. Tony Niemec, R-Green River, by 45 votes in the Republican primary.
Whitehead qualified for the general election ballot by receiving enough write-in votes.
