The Fremont County Coroner is hoping someone will pick up a dead body that has been in the county for 10 days.

John M Mitsoyianis, 64, of Friday Harbor, Washington, died after a one-vehicle rollover crash on Horse Creek Road in Dubois the afternoon of Oct. 13. He was ejected from the topless tan Jeep, according to a Fremont County Sheriff’s call log.

A death docket released Thursday to Cowboy State Daily says his death was caused by blunt-force trauma to the head and chest. His blood-alcohol concentration was 263 grams per 100 milliliters, which converts to about 0.298%.

The docket describes Mitsoyianis as a Caucasian male standing 6-foot-2, weighing about 220 pounds with grey hair, blue eyes and multiple tattoos over his left arm, ankle and chest.

A Thursday statement by Fremont County Coroner Erin Ivie says the clock started Wednesday for the coroner to seek “disposition” of the body. Anyone in the community or any friends of the deceased may now make a claim on the body to oversee its disposition, the statement says.

Anyone who wishes to make a claim should call the coroner’s office at 307-856-7150.

“Really hoping to find the family of this decedent,” Ivie told Cowboy State Daily. “I hate it when they’re either the last of their line or just no family steps forward. In this case it sounds like he may be the last of his line.”
