Letter To The Editor: If You Live In Wyoming, Get Your Plates In Wyoming

Dear editor: Those Montana plates in the northern part of Wyoming have become a huge problem as those tax dollars DO NOT pay for Wyoming roads or services, including fire fighters and first responders.

Dear Editor,

As a county treasurer, I’d like to remind folks what their registration for their vehicles pays for.

Among schools, libraries, museums, fairgrounds and county entities, fire fighters, EMS and law enforcement also count on those dollars collected through registration fees to pay them a wage, provide tools and equipment that help them do their jobs, and provide for fire trucks, and all first responders equipment that help people in time of need.

I couldn’t help but notice that the ATV owned by the Warner Family had permanent Montana plates on it.

Those Montana plates in the northern part of Wyoming have become a huge problem as those tax dollars DO NOT pay for Wyoming roads or services, including fire fighters and first responders.

Do the right thing, Wyoming residents, get your plates in Wyoming!

They pay for your kids to go to school, they pay for fire and EMS, and they keep Wyoming Open!

I hope the Warner family will reconsider their permanent Montana plates in favor of a Wyoming MPV plate that supports the people that have saved their home.

Thank you

Emily Paravicini

Sublette County Treasurer
