Dear editor:
Today I went to the county office to vote in our state primary elections.
I expected to be able to change my affiliation like I have every time I've voted in my life, but was enraged when the poll worker stated plainly, "We don't have a ballot for you."
To compound the matter, my good friend standing just beside me was able to register and pick an affiliation at the poll.
He too would have been told to go home without a ballot had he not been part of the recent and suspiciously-timed purge of registered Wyoming voters (despite having voted absentee in the most recent election).
To Secretary of State Chuck Gray and the other state representatives who brought this law to fruition, you should be ashamed of yourselves and stripped of the title, "Wyomingite."
I have always been taught and steadfastly believe that this state stands for true freedom and the liberty of its citizenry.
This legislation and the continued pursuit to limit our voter rights by Gray and his supporters signal an alarming and frightening push towards despotic and domineering policy.
Please consider voting to push back against these arrogant and haughty politicians subverting our rights and freedoms!
Sincerely,
Arthur Blue
