Guest Column: The Campus Protests Are A Cluster**** And I Couldn't Be Happier

Guest columnist Tom Bentley writes, "These campus protests are a cluster**** decades in the making, and I couldn’t be happier. They're just the appetizer though. The main course will come at the Democrat convention. Load up on popcorn, that’s gonna be fun."

Idiots 5 1 24

These campus protests are a clusterf*** decades in the making, and I couldn’t be happier.

The shitshow calls for some quality time over martinis debating who is more reprehensible and more to blame, elite college administrators or the students themselves.

How can we not enjoy watching administrators finally being hoist on the petard of their own fecklessness?

How can we not enjoy the mostly upper middle class white girls spewing nonsense at the protests, the inevitable result of the Leftist education that has permeated our schools and colleges, especially those in the upper tier.

It’s hard to say “I told you so” without a smile on your face.

The fact that these white girls must have had close Jewish friends growing up, and likely went to school with many Jews, has not stopped them from going down the rathole of their own warped ideology.

Must admit, however, I’m gobsmacked to watch what one pundit called snot-nosed punks invite suspension and expulsion over their claimed goal of divestment, which should not rate in the top 100 of anybody’s issues of the day.

This is the thanks we get for forgiving student loans.

More reasons to smile, and hope the protest continue, are expressed in a sub-headline: “At least some Democrats are beginning to see that the anti-Semitic campus protests may harm their election prospects.”

Rock on, protesters, keep it up, historians could one day make the case that you helped re-elect Trump.

I draw the parallel here not to the Vietnam protests but to Occupy Wall Street. Think how you would feel if you got a letter from a top-tier college that had just consumed $300K of your hard-earned dollars educating your little darling, telling you that she had been expelled and was no longer allowed to set foot on campus?

My first inclination would be to insist that she get a job at McDonalds, so she can learn what life is like for many of those who don’t get elite educations.

If the schools want to know where the politics of this is headed, they might read a letter Monday to the Columbia trustees from 21 Democrats in Congress.

The letter urged the school "to act decisively, disband the encampment, and ensure the safety and security of all of its students’.”

Only 21? Dems are whistling as they march to their own funerals caused by their surrender to the forces of Progressivism, which have very little support in most of America.

They are counting on their lawfare jihad to doom Trump, despite all the evidence that is has only made him more popular.

They believe that his voters will soon become disgusted with his rhetoric, in spite of eight years of that rhetoric only making him more popular. They wantonly ignore this headline we find in the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday: “Most Voters Say ‘No Chance’ They’ll Support Biden.”

Just as importantly, “Looking back, 55% of all Americans now say they see Trump’s presidency as a success…. while (for Biden) 39% say it’s been a success.”

These campus protests are just the appetizer, the main course will come at the Democrat convention….load up on popcorn, that’s gonna be fun.
