Dear Editor:
I’m sorry, but I’m not exactly sure what it is Sue Paroski thinks Rep. Albert Sommers, Former Senator Al Simpson and Rep Landon Brown need to get over.
I’m guessing it has to do with their thought Rep. Hageman should have refrained from commenting on Rep. Sommers preventing legislation prohibiting gender-related surgeries in Wyoming from going to the full legislature.
Maybe I’m showing how old and out of touch I am, but I didn’t realize this was something actually going on here in Wyoming.
I would have thought Rep. Hageman would have her hands full with her new job in Washington without having to worry about what the Wyoming legislature is doing, but apparently not. Maybe we should count our blessings.
At least Rep. Hageman hasn’t supported Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s proposal for a “national divorce”-splitting the country according to ideology into “red” Republican states and “blue” Democratic states.
Ms. Paroski ends her letter by saying “Sticking bills in a drawer to die an unnatural death does not serve either the legislature or the citizens of Wyoming well.”
Does she feel this applies equally when Majority Floor Leader, Chip Neiman, did the same thing to prevent the legislature from being able to consider HB-80, Medicaid Expansion?
Sincerely,
Kim Love
