Dear Editor:
I was sickened to learn about and watch a video of a chicken roping event hosted by a Wyoming bar.
Treating other animals with such disrespect is a form of gratuitous bullying.
Cruelty to animals should be condemned, not celebrated.
Events like chicken roping cause needless suffering and also undermine our empathy, which is a very important part of our humanity.
