By Jimmy Orr, Cowboy State Daily
Our regular readers know that for almost the last two years, we’ve been publishing a new Wyoming sunrise every morning here at Cowboy State Daily.
It all started when we published a photo of the sun cresting over the runway at the Cheyenne Airport on a chilly winter’s day.
We were up in Don Day’s office in the old airport tower and the sunrise was gorgeous. Later in the day, a reader from Worland emailed us a photo of a sunrise in the badlands of Washakie County.
We published it the next day and it all started from there.
Now we’re turning the daily sunrise feature into a calendar.
This was not an easy task. Going through hundreds of photos for a 12-month calendar was really difficult.
We wanted to hit all areas of the state while getting the right seasons with the corresponding months.
Now it’s ready for prime time.
It’s all Wyoming. It’s all reader-submitted photos. Thirteen gorgeous landscapes of the greatest sunrises in the world. (12 months and the cover photo).
It’s a great gift for you and a great gift for your family and friends.
