Today’s Wyoming sunrise was taken by Bruce Thompson of Dubois, Wyoming.
Bruce writes: “I live in Dubois, WY and the view is toward the southeast. The mountains, off camera to the right in the photo, regularly generate morning clouds, even on days later destined to be clear blue sky and sunshine.
“The clouds suspend from varying elevations, so the higher cirrus clouds are fully lit from beneath, while the bottoms of the lower stratocumulus clouds block some of the sunlight to add that blue-gray contrast. Living here full-time for the past eleven years has provided us some of the most diverse and entertaining cloud displays of our lifetimes.”
