Dear editor:

I have chaired my share of Wyoming committees where topics can often bring strong and varied emotions from participants.

It is the chairperson's job to maintain decorum through calm leadership and the use of properly followed Robert's Rules of Order.

It is not, however, done by eliminating scheduled speakers; such as recently happened to former House Speaker Tom Lubnau.

Co-chairs Case and Knapp should not have accepted a public office if they are not capable of taking criticism. The entire reason for committee meetings is to gain information from all sides.

As a life-time Wyoming Republican I am more than disappointed to see the direction taken by this party.

Actions speak louder than words and what I see is a party who talks about less government and freedom of the people but is doing just the opposite.

I have never seen so many bills, laws, and new rules as the Wyoming Republican Party has come forth with in the last few years.

Now you want new rules on "decorum."

For heaven's sake, do your job as a chairman and grow a backbone.

Sincerely,

T. Carrie Little, Leiter
